Ron Saks Project Proposal.

Condensed in about 30 seconds I will give and elevator pitch explaining what I propose for this project. So what is it I would like to do? What I want to do it create a video/animation short that is story driven by music. Ya I know.. your probably thinking "whoa you want to do whaaa??" Think of it this way if anyone has gone to youtube and watch the short "music box" the instruments are articulated though video timing, what if each one was its own animated 2d character in the style of space jam? So you have this guy visiting a friend walking into the friends room the friend says be right back and leaves for a bit. As soon as the door closes the person in the room sees 2d characters pop out of no where and start to to play music. and as soon as the friend comes back in the room he sees his friend conducting music by himself looking like a mad man (only the one left in the room can see the 2d characters). I still need to work out some boards and how this will work. I estimate needing about 5 people. need 2d animators, video editors, possibly a photographer (to plan camera angles), effects artist good in after effects (other than me), and sound designer.

Well.. with several crashes, multiple tries, extensive planning. Like the last post, I still cant seem to render it, this time I tried the school computer, and spent half a day yesterday to just fail. So after failing this project I learned my lesson..so I wont fail the following projects and hopefully pass the class. :(..the end of the Brian rendering horror story. Till next time!.

This is a progress shot showing how the hands will appear information. However it is still in the rough stages, as some plans I had epically failed as I was hoping to get alot more done with music synchronization and using the puppet pen tool to give the hand motion.

This is a concept sketch for my project. I plan to create a video using models posed in positions similar to yoga poses, then I will use after effects to abstract the models manipulating them to fit a organic nature type shape and design. Through a bit of research, for this project I want to focus on experimental layering of video clips to create a collage form using models. The idea behind this sketch was to use hands to create a plant like design. Video test coming soon 1/28/2012.

The Dreamer or a Doer?

On the spectrum of dreamers and doers. I fall a great deal to the side of dreamers because i come up with plenty of good ideas and concepts, but never gave my self the time to develop the technique to execute something to be proud of. In my Design for media class shown on this blog I will explore a blend of video and animation with hopes of making my goal to create a strong piece I can be proud of.
